At its heart, the Farm Frenzy app for your Android phone is a strategy game. It’s essentially an interactive role-playing game focused on maintaining a farm of your very own, both in caring for and protecting your crops and animals, but also in making decisions that are smart for your business.
During each level, you will have to complete certain objectives. For example, in the first level, you need to collect eggs, which can be done by ensuring that your geese are fed. Once they lay their eggs, you collect them by tapping them onscreen.
As you advance in each level, you will sell a number of things in the market to make more money. You have to make decisions how you want to spend this money. For instance, you can buy more animals or you can purchase machines that will turn eggs into cakes, or wool into cloth.
Farm Frenzy’s graphics give the app a cozy farm-from-a-storybook kind of aesthetic.
Unfortunately, however, gameplay was a bit twitchy at times, and the levels felt a bit repetitive. I did appreciate, though, that there are helpful tutorials at the onset of every level. The more you play, the more difficult the game becomes. Be careful, this might have you quickly addicted.
If you’re the type of person who enjoys playing Farmville on Facebook, Farm Frenzy is a suitable substitute while on the go.
