So this game essentially takes the Temple Run formula and, surprisingly, does a lot of cool things with it. You are tasked with driving down a post-apocalyptic highway jam-packed with some very special mutant pedestrians, and it’s time for some vehicular mutant slaughter. The challenge isn’t in the quick turns and sudden obstacles, but in maneuvering your way through and around the various enemies. Some will be totally useless, while others will jump on your car, attempting to overturn it or smash it with their huge claws. Some are also fat and explosive. You have to run them down, avoid them, or scrape them off of your car, which is dangerous considering the early cars can barely take any punishment.

Speaking of unlockable cars and such, it will take you forever to save up for a decently armored one. It will take you forever to save up for most things, really. This game has various power-ups, like a turret, nitro boost, or a shock and driver handgun useful for getting ghouls off your ride. The power-ups rarely show-up on the field, and instead are randomly awarded to you for saving up stars in your kill combos. Overall this makes them less dynamic and less interesting, as they don’t change much and you rarely ever choose to go after them. They’re just a by-product of surviving rather than something you risk attaining.

One thing that especially cripples this game is that the first couple miles or so of the road seem totally pre-set, making the first large chunk of each game session extra repetitive. But of course, you can buy better stuff through in-app purchases for a boost. Like I said, the game’s not all bad. The generic heavy metal soundtrack is actually pretty cool, and some of the visual elements were inspired by popular shooter Borderlands. Although, that unique bold lined look pretty much only applies to your vehicle and the various mutants. It may very well be free, but I recommend you find free games with stronger design instead.
