When a child taps on an on-screen animal, the name of the creature is said aloud and the word (for instance the word “Monkey”) will visually fly across the screen. Users even have the choice between three different languages: English, Spanish or German.
It’s a neat concept that helps to teach word association and perhaps a foreign language, too bad the robotic voice makes it sound overly canned.
Additionally, fewer than half of these animals make any kind of silly sound effect, whether it be an animal sound or music. There also isn’t any kind of excitement to inspire children to play with the program.
This app is made up of some very colorful illustrations, putting a child directly into four different habitats: underwater, the jungle, the desert and the Arctic. Unfortunately, there just aren’t very many individual animals here to choose from in this disappointing app.
