APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

5 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: Free
  • TASTY: Browsing without a browser is fairly awesome.
  • BUMMER: No support for languages other than English.
  • COOL: You can barely see advertisements on the huge screen!

WikiMobile Encyclopedia takes Wikipedia and puts it on your tablet device.

The app lets you browse Wikipeida without a browser, supposedly at a much faster speed. Other than a fully functional version of Wikipedia, there are plenty of extra features. Any article can be bookmarked for future viewing. You can hit the random article button if you just want to learn about something and don’t care what, or you can look at the most popular articles in relation to news, celebrities, sports, and more.

The app separates the quick facts and photos or an article into their own sections, which is kind of annoying, but not so bad. With all the extra space of a tablet screen, they could probably have optimized it better and included things like photos, but this is still an amazing mobile encyclopedia.

Learn something interesting on the go with the WikiMobile Encyclopedia app.
