by Ian Black

You know that the Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man, Hulk, Fantastic Four, and Iron Man movies all came from comics, right? But, did you know they were all Marvel Comics? Find out which superheroes will next appear on the big screen by reading the originals over the fresh Marvel Comics app.

For financial maturity, try Amex for Android, and for immaturity download the timely Prize Claw Halloween.

Marvel Comics (Free)

You can thank the iPad for kick-starting the current boom in digital comics. Sure, some digital comics were available prior to that tablet launch, but Marvel Comics delivered one of the showcase apps for that device.

Now Android owners can experience the love and the POW!, CRACK!, BOOM! of mobile superheroes. The app is free to download but the individual issues of comics will cost you. Expect new, recent, and archived issues of all Marvel’s line-up including Thunderbolts, Daredevil, Punisher, The Avengers and a whole lot more. The app zooms panels in automatically for reading on a smaller screen.

Amex for Android (Free)

You may already access your bank account via your Android tablet, but now you can add your American Express credit card into the mix.

This app provides the basics of account management to Android 3.0+ tablets including the ability to check balance, view recent charges and payments, schedule a payment, and view your rewards points.

Find the long list of supported American Express card products in this app’s description.

Prize Claw Halloween (Free)

No doubt you’ve played a “prize claw” arcade game and perhaps even tried the Prize Claw Android app, but this version is a brand new update for the upcoming spooky holiday.

Grab witches, skulls, ghosts, and monsters for points, but if you want to level-up you’ll need to complete the assigned mission of collecting specific treasures. Customize your machine by swapping out the joystick, claw, and prize catcher with cooler versions.

In between levels, Halloween-themed puzzles will keep you trick-or-treating.
