APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

4 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: $14.95
  • TASTY: Access your stuff from anywhere.
  • BUMMER: Expensive, some OS not supported.
  • COOL: Doesn’t require additional software on host computer.

Why lug around both your laptop and your shiny new Android tablet? With Remote Desktop Client, you can access all the files on your desktop or laptop PC using just your Android tablet.

Once you get everything set up, it’s easy to use mouse and keyboard control on your host PC. There are numerous options available like custom screen resolutions, file transfer capabilities, copy and pasting and even data compression to save bandwidth.

Remote Desktop Client is a hugely powerful app with a high price, but for power users who need the ability to access multiple computers remotely, it could prove to be a very worthwhile investment. Most versions of Windows are supported (except some of the lesser featured ‘Home’ varieties), but Mac OS and Linux are not compatible.
