Review for Dropbox

APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

5 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: Free
  • TASTY: Great way to transfer files between tablet and computer.
  • BUMMER: Works well for PDFs, but you’ll need a word processing app to edit any Word or similar files.
  • COOL: First couple of gigabytes of storage are free, and you can pay for more.

Dropbox is a must for anyone who wants to use a tablet as a productivity tool, making access to documents, photos and other files between computers and mobile devices a snap.

You’ll also need the Dropbox desktop program, but once you pop open the Dropbox app, you get a clean interface of folders and documents. It’s a great way to share music or photos on your device without wasting hard drive space.

The Dropbox service is free, with more space available if you’re willing to pay. You might need other apps like Quick Office Pro to really take advantage of documents, but just having a conduit between your tablet and your computer is handy.

If you’re looking to make your tablet into a work tool – or just need some additional space and a way to transfer files – Dropbox is among the simplest and quickest methods you’ll find.
