Astronomy enthusiasts can tap into an absolutely celestial app with Google Sky Map on the Android tablet.

Google Sky Map uses just about everything under your tablet’s hood, including its compass, gyroscope and GPS technology. Putting all that information together, you can actually aim your tablet at the sky and it will project information about what you’re seeing, including the names of stars, planets and constellations. Move the tablet and the portion of the sky it identifies moves too, showing you everything you can see above you, and plenty that you can’t.

Sky Map also includes photos of various heavenly bodies and the ability to search for them by name to get directions to where they are in the sky. Google Sky Map is a phenomenal tool for a tablet, and uses just about everything in your device to great effect.

With Google Sky Map on your tablet, the sky is no longer the limit.
