Fresh Android Apps for Aug. 9: YouTube update, Tattoo Tycoon FREE, Wrecking Baller

by Ian Black

The stock market is crashing... time to escape! Put your mind in neutral with some YouTube videos via its new update, a stint in a tattoo parlor courtesy of Tattoo Tycoon FREE, or cause mayhem with construction equipment in Wrecking Baller.

YouTube update (Free)

Feeling like YouTube was stagnating? Download the fresh update from the Android Market for something new.

Now, the app lets you edit the title, description, and privacy of your uploaded videos and it includes a new upload UI for easier and faster video posts. You can also create, edit, or delete video playlists on-the-go.

The “what’s new” notes say this update also include bug fixes and performance enhancements.

Tattoo Tycoon FREE (Free)

Tattoo shows have taken over cable. First came Miami Ink, then the spin offs LA Ink, London Ink, and NY Ink. With such popularity, an app was an obvious choice.

In Tattoo Tycoon, you take charge of an ink parlor of your very own. Customize your store with furniture and fixtures, manage the artists and clerks, grow your business, but best of all, tattoo people. Staying with the lines means you don’t cause the customer pain, which means you might earn a tip.

Wrecking Baller (Free)

Ever fantasize about operating a wrecking ball? Stop dreaming and start playing.

Wrecking Baller puts you build the controls of an industrial wrecking ball gone mad. Cruise the streets swinging the wrecking ball around with your finger to destroy everything you can, including buildings and cars. You can also collect power-ups like shields and extra lives.

The games sports 20 levels, an unlockable “infinite” arcade mode, and OpenFeint support to taunt your friends.
