Fresh Android Apps for July 26: Amazon Fresh, Twisted Arrows, Dragon Fly

by Ian Black

I shopped Amazon when all they had was books. Now, you can add broccoli to your cart as well with the new AmazonFresh app.

For lighter fare, try the maze-like Twisted Arrows or the pre-flight check of Dragon, Fly!

AmazonFresh (Free)

OK, so this app does have some geographical restrictions, but it is still worth a mention. Amazon.com sells groceries, apparently, but only in Seattle, Washington – for now.

Browse through the categories of fresh produce, eggs, and other grocery store items. Then, add to your cart, purchase and schedule a delivery. Your history of purchases makes it easy to recreate regular orders and you can barcode scan to bring up items already in your fridge or pantry. Deliveries can be designated for when you’ll be home or for drop-off at your unattended door.

Twisted Arrows (Free)

Here is a puzzle with a twist – a twisted arrow to be exact. You have to move a ball from the start to the finish but you must progress only one square at a time. Each square hosts an arrow that will decide the direction the ball moves next. Orange arrows don’t turn at all but Green arrows turn 90 degrees, Yellow 180, and Blue spins 270.

Sounds easy though it’s not, yet still a top-rated game by those who have so far played it.

Dragon, Fly! (Free)

Betcha’ thought dragons knew how to fly instinctively? No, like birds they need a little coaching.

Guide this baby dragon over rolling hills to gain momentum then tap to send her into the sky. Scoop up diamonds and other treats along the hillsides for maximum points and time the jumps correctly for maximum air. But, watch out for mother dragon who is worried about her baby and will bring her home as soon as she catches on to your flying lessons.
