Fresh Android Apps for May 6: Zipcar, LazyDroid Web Desktop

by Ian Black

In today’s fresh apps, take control of a car with your phone (Zipcar) or take control of your phone with a PC (LazyDroid Web Desktop).

Zipcar Beta (Free)

Zipcar is an innovative car rental business that is taking the world by storm. Instead of setting up shop in airports, they hit the streets and put cars “in situ” on busy streets in bustling cities. There are no storefronts, you rent through their web site by hour or the day and get a code that unlocks a car near you.

Now try the beta release of their Android app. It lets you find Zipcars near you, rent them, unlock them, and even beep their horns all from the app. Zipcar currently offers vehicles in 50 cities across the US and UK.

LazyDroid Web Desktop (Free)
