1. Tell us about yourself - where you live, your job, things you like to do.
I live in Topanga, CA. I have my own social media marketing business - I contract for a few agencies, represent a dozen clients, and am getting all sorts of gigs for that all the time. I have six people working underneath me, and I love what I do because it allows me to talk to people from all different walks of life and figure out what makes them tick.
I am preparing for my 14th consecutive year at Burning Man, and my 10th as a major theme camp organizer. I study yoga five days out of seven and once a month privately.
2. Which Android device or devices do you own? Why did you choose Android? How do you customize your device?
I have a Nexus One. I chose Android because a surprising number of my ex-boyfriends work for Google, and all of the Android devices I have owned (two G1s and the Nexus One) were supplied to me for free because Googlers get them as holiday bonuses. Also, I had already used Google products like Gmail, Gchat, and Google Docs before Android was released, so I appreciate the compatibility. I also am not a fan of iOS. Plus, the lil' robot is so damn cute.
I don't think I customized my device at all other than using this as a ring tone.
3. Do you root or not? If you root, why?
I don't. Since I have a Nexus One and it's not provided by any phone company, it's already basically rooted.
4. Is there a particular category of apps that interests you the most?
Actually, I don't really use that many apps that often as most of what I need is built in by Google. Navigation and mapping make me happy.
5. What are your top 3-5 apps and why?
-- Google Maps w. voice navigation: I use it daily to get around Los Angeles.
-- Angry Birds: Great and awesome game that everyone loves.
-- Period and Ovulation Tracker: I rely on it and haven't gotten preggie yet.
-- Google Goggles: One of my best friends in the world designed the ridiculously sophisticated technology behind this app.
6. What apps are popular among your colleagues and friends?
What kind of nerd sits around with their colleagues and friends talking about apps? How the hell should I know? My colleagues and I talk about work and work only. My friends and I talk about philosophy, spirituality, science, astrology, yoga, fitness, and Burning Man. But not apps.
7. Give an example of a time an app was truly useful to you.
I was lost in a bad neighborhood in Baltimore and Google Maps got me out.
8. What other AndroidApps.com member do you admire the most and why?
Garick - because he thoroughly and painstakingly reviews his apps, and he is the most social media-immersed person that I know.

9. Anything else you'd like to share with the Appolicious audience?
I'm almost 35 years old. I remember when there were no mobile phones. I remember when there was no web. I remember when there was no Internet. Don't ever, even for a second, take any of this for granted. It's a stunning and exponential blossoming of human potential.
