by Ian Black

Read, watch, and go! Get digital comics on your Android with Comics, stream content from your Mac to your phone with Plex for Android, or travel around the world without going anywhere using Virtual Travel. Comics (Free)

Love comics? This app brings hot new digital comics to Android phones.

The creators have lined up some of the biggest comic book publishers for this reader including Marvel, IDW, Top Cow, Archie Comics, Boom! Studios and many more. If you already use on iPhone or Android the issues you’ve purchase will automatically be synced to your phone. With this release, pinch and zoom now works properly on Andoird.

Plex for Android ($4.99)

Stream content from your Mac computer (Windows coming soon) directly to your phone with this service. Install and run the Plex server on your computer and it will send content from CNET, Revision 3 and other providers. You can even send content from Aperture, iTunes, and iPhoto.

Remote control functionality using your Android is in the works!

Virtual Travel (Free)

You’ve heard of armchair travel. What should we call the version where you’re out and about but not really traveling? I know, we’ll call it Virtual Travel. Flick your way around the world, zoom in, and find the photos left by others. Picture info screens show the time and date, geo-tags show the location.

This 1.2 update delivers bug fixes, major usability improvements, and a better home screen widget.
