by Caitlin M. Foyt

Today's Fresh Android apps features the very first release of popular social networking site LinkedIn and an app that simplifies organizing a holiday get together.

LinkedIn Beta (Android) FREE

The popular social networking app, used to help professionals discover networking connections, has just launched an application for Android. This first release allows users to respond to invites, view updates in your network, search people, and keep in touch with your current connections. Register for the LinkedIn for Android group for feedback, support, and interaction with the app’s development team. From there, you'll be able to download the app itself which is not yet available in the Android Market.

Organizing a get together with a large group of close friends can sometimes be a tall order. You obviously want to include everyone, but finding a date and time that works for every single person can cause a lot of headache. Doodle is an app, which builds upon its mother website, that aims to make this process a little easier by creating an online coordination platform. It also can be used on-the-go to initiate and track meeting requests. This might be a really effective way to keep everyone on the same page this holiday season.
