Fresh Android Apps for Dec. 14: Walgreens update, OfficeHarmony Meditation

by Caitlin M. Foyt

Today's Fresh Android apps features an app that allows you to fill your prescriptions while on-the-go and another that will help you to de-stress and unwind at work.

Walgreens update (Android) FREE

Walgreens recently updated its Android app for the holiday season adding a gift finder and stocking builder to its already full-featured app. If you fill your prescriptions at the chain drugstore, this one sounds like it’ll be worth the download. By either scanning your script’s barcode, entering your account number or prescription number, you can notify Walgreens pharmacists when you’re out of pills and need a refill. You’ll receive an SMS alert once it’s ready to be picked up. The app also helps you to locate the nearest Walgreens stores in your area, informs you which ones have flu shots, allows you to order photo prints and includes the entire weekly ad for your perusal.

OfficeHarmony Meditation (Android) $1.99

The average person spends nearly half of their life at work. If you work a standard 9-5 behind the desk, odds are that you don’t have the most comfortable job or the most relaxing. OfficeHarmony Meditation is an app that helps you to focus on relaxing and revitalizing your mind and body. It features five-minute guided meditation exercises, stretches, yoga and even has a test to assess your stress levels. Because they’re short and user-friendly, these exercises can be done during a five-minute coffee break or during your lunch, without causing disruption to the flow of the work day.
