XFINITY Mobile (Android) FREE
Comcast just released XFINITY Mobile for the Android platform, giving Comcast customers remote access to their DVR and the ability to check local TV listings. The app also offers access to other Comcast services such as VoIP voicemail and Comcast mail. Perhaps one of the biggest features is the ability to have calls routed from your home phone to your cell phone when you’re out and about. Comcast said future updates will include TV show and movie streaming, but the time frame for this capability is still to be determined.
Slurpee (Android) FREE
The Slurpee is about as American as hamburgers and pumpkin pie and now, the iconic slushed carbonated drink has it’s very own Android app. This app is designed to help Slurpee enthusiasts track down nearby 7-Elevens, complete with turn-by-turn driving directions. It even provides a comprehensive list of all of the flavors available at each location.
Once restricted to Slurpee.com, this app also allows Slurpee Nation members to enter reward codes, browse and purchase items. Rewards points be cashed in for everything from online gaming credits to video games and movie rentals.
Foursquare update (Android) FREE
The location-based social networking website, Foursquare has just announced an exciting new update. Foursquare users now have access to a new trophy case to proudly display all of the badges you earn from exploring your city and checking in at different locations. There have also been a few minor tweaks made to improve the program overall. It’s available in the market now so check it out if you haven’t updated yet.
