Android App Video Review: Google Reader

by Erik Fikkert

Google Reader is, in my opinion, the best RSS Feed reader available. It’s extremely fast, available everywhere, and gets me the information I need in an easy way. While there are plenty of options to choose from when it comes to RSS Readers, Google has my vote.

Now, they have released an official app for Android phones that brings the full experience into a native app for your phone. Android users can now enjoy starring, sorting, and managing their feeds all from the comfort of their phone.

Even though this was completely possible by visiting the mobile site, many users will find it handy to have the option of a native app. I personally think the web app is better as far as flow is concerned because all my tools are available right on the screen, and new windows don’t pop up and instead stay on the same screen. Others users may find the official app to be more elegant for the home screen but I definitely cast my vote for the online version.

The app is free, so check it out and make the call for yourself.
