Fresh Android Apps for Dec. 6: Twitsper, VidTrim, Movies update

by Caitlin M. Foyt

Today's Fresh Android apps features a way to tweet off the radar, edit short videos from your phone and stay up to date on everything film-related.

Twitsper (Android) FREE

Twitsper is a brand new app that gives Twitter users the ability to limit which followers can see their tweets, even if an account is set to private.

Create lists that include subsets of followers. After a list is created, users can specify which tweets followers see. To ensure the privacy of users, a tweet sent by any user on the list is only received by other members of the list who follow the user. If no list is selected, the user's tweet behaves just like a normal public tweet broadcast to all of the user's followers, or, if your account is public, to the entire world.

VidTrim (Android) FREE

Applications like YouTube allow you to shoot videos from within the app and then immediately post them to the web. But, if you’re a perfectionist, seldom ever is a video ready to be posted as soon as you’re done filming. Why not make a few tweaks first?

VidTrim is an application that edits videos right on your phone. You can also use this application to play and delete your videos.

Movies (Android) FREE

The Flixster movie app, known for movie reviews, trailers and show times has recently made some updates. It’s a great way to keep up on everything related to blockbuster hits.

Get show times for all of the movies that are playing at local theaters. You can also browse more than 65,000 DVDs and watch 15,000 movie trailers. Hear what the critics have to say about new releases by checking their reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Perhaps the neatest feature of all is the ability to add and manage your Netflix queue from directly within the application.
