Talking Tom Cat Android app is juvenile, but fun

by Kate Currin

Have you ever wondered what your cat would say if it could talk? With the Talking Tom Cat app, you can make your virtual pet cat say whatever you wish. Just open the app, and Tom listens to what you have to say, and repeats it in his funny little cat voice. The app allows you to record videos of Tom repeating your words, which you can share on YouTube or Facebook. This is especially fun if you want to mimic someone's words. Say, for instance, your mom, who is always telling you to clean your room, or a little brother, who is always whining to play with you.

Pet Tom, and he purrs. Punch Tom, and he will react accordingly. Upgrade to the 79-cent version of Talking Tom Cat from the free version, and you can make Tom fart or even play the cymbals. The varying degree of farts cracks me up every time.

Overall, it is a pretty juvenile app, but well-designed to give hoodlums of all ages a laugh or two. If you have a few minutes to spare, spend some time getting to know Tom.
