Fresh Android Apps for Oct. 29: Music WithMe, Animal-Free, and more.

by Caitlin M. Foyt

In today's Fresh Android Apps, learn how you can sync and play your computer's music library onto your phone, grocery shop with confidence, trick your friends and avoid getting inked with a potentially embarrassing tattoo.

Music WithMe (Android) $14.99

Music WithMe is an app that syncs your iTunes playlists with your phone. Impressively, any time you make changes to your music library, these changes are simultaneously reflected in the playlist that's on your Android. Music WithMe users can download their iTunes playlists whenever there is a wireless Internet connection. It's a cost-effective way to get your entire iTunes library onto your smartphone, and keep MP3 players out of the mix.

Animal-Free (Android) FREE

This app is a pocket reference guide for herbivores of all kinds: vegans, vegetarians, part-time veggies or families who are trying to eat healthier. What it does is clear up the confusion behind the long-and-difficult-to-pronounce ingredients in foods at the grocery store by letting you know if a substance comes from an animal and what purpose it serves. If you're trying to be more conscious of what kinds of foods you're buying, this is a great app for that.

Flower Hunt (Android) FREE

This app is not what it seems. Turn the volume on your phone up to the highest level and then ask a friend to play a fun new game you just downloaded to your Android phone. Then, watch the look on their faces when they get a scary, unexpected surprise. Just in time for Halloween! Trick or treat?

Chinese Tattoo Characters (Android) $1.99

Chinese character tattoos are popular because they express something personal and meaningful about the person who wears them. However, it's not really all the unusual to hear that a tattoo was translated incorrectly or poorly designed and doesn't say what the owner thinks it does. The Chinese Characters app provides correct examples of a variety of different symbols, which could save a person from a lifetime of embarrassment.
