APPOLICIOUS ADVISOR RATING:

5 of 5 bars
  • PRICE: Free
  • TASTY: This app is perfect for Bank of America customers who need access to their account information while on the go.
  • BUMMER: This app works only for Bank of America customers.
  • COOL: Locate nearby ATMs and banking centers without even putting in your address.

The Bank of America Mobile Banking application for your Android phone will help you manage your checking and savings accounts, locate nearby ATMs, pay bills, and transfer funds between accounts. It's easily one of the best mobile banking apps available in the Android Market.

The first thing I noticed about this app was how practical and straightforward the design is. There are just four tabs on the main menu, which means you don't have to waste time sifting through unnecessary information, trying to locate your financial information. It helps to make navigation a smooth and stress-free experience.

This app works as though your mobile banking web page has been bookmarked on your phone, allowing users to pick up their device and easily log-in, from anywhere and at any time. Customers can feel secure using this app, because you still must identify your site key and enter your password when you log in.

Once you log in, you can pay bills, check pending payments, view unpaid e-bills, transfer funds between accounts, and check account balances.

Obviously, this application is available only to Bank of America customers, but those who bank elsewhere will certainly find themselves wishing their mobile banking experience was this streamlined.

I just wish the return button worked better with this app. It logs you out instead of returning you to the main accounts screen.
