Gtasks makes it simple to sync task lists with Google

by Kate Currin

The free Gtasks app for Android syncs with Google Tasks to bring your to-do lists with you on the go. Don't use Google Tasks? You can still use this app to create mobile to-do lists and notes.

It's really simple. You just log in to the app, and it instantly syncs task lists created in Gmail. Then, log in to your Gmail account online, and any edits you made on the go will sync into Google Tasks. Make multiple lists to cover tasks for work, home, family chores or whatever you have on your plate. Each list shows up in a tab in the app.

You can even add due dates and alarms so you don't forget any tasks. The app will stack items due first at the top of the list, based on the alarms and due dates you set to tasks. Accomplished tasks move to the bottom of the list under the completed category until you clear done tasks via the menu selection. Another menu selection allows users to share task lists via email, on Facebook and various other organizational apps you might have installed on your Android phone like Evernote, Socialwok and ColorNote.

If you can't stand the ads (I barely noticed them), for $6.99 you can upgrade to an ad-free version of Gtasks.
