New Android apps worth downloading: Level Money, Feedly Reader update, Galaxy Factions

Keep track of your personal finances and instantly track how much you’re spending with Level Money, today’s first app worth downloading. It links to your bank account to help you keep track of everything you spend as you spend it. We’ve also got Feedly Reader, an RSS feed reader that aggregates everything from news stories and blog posts to YouTube videos. Finally, Galaxy Factions lets players take on one another or band together to build armies and fight through enemies.

What’s cool? In the age of debit cards, it can be tough to keep track of how much money you're spending in a given day. Level Money helps solve that problem by keeping track of how much money you’re spending for you. The app links to your bank account, so every time you make a transaction, it shows up in the app. Level Money automatically detects your income and monthly expenses, so you can quickly get a sense of your financial situation at any given moment, and it keeps track of how much you can spend per month so that you don’t go over budget.

You can use the app to subscribe to all sorts of different things, like blogs, YouTube channels, news sites and more, and Feedly puts them together in an easy to read format where you can flip through each new update to catch all the things that interest you. The app is specialized for both phones and tablets, too, making for an easy to read presentation in both formats. The latest update to Feedly adds design for the Nexus 7 and a new “speed reading” feature, among other improvements.

The real-time strategy title is all about managing your resources as you ready for battle, and you’ll have 12 different unit types to leverage in skirmishes, as well as seven kinds of defensive emplacements that can help you fight off attackers, and 10 different heroes you can utilize to turn the tide. Galaxy Factions includes a lengthy single-player campaign, and you can also take on other players in multiplayer mode, or band together with players as allies.
