New Android apps worth downloading: Malwarebyutes Anti-Malware, Favado, Bad Piggies update

by Phil Hornshaw

Amp up your Android device's security with today's first app worth downloading, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. The app brings exactly what you'd expect from a piece of malware-fighting software, but does it with a lightweight app that doesn't include any unnecessary functions. Following that is Favado, an app for comparing weekly sales at your local stores to help you get the best deals, and an update to Rovio Mobile's physics-based building title Bad Piggies, which packs 30 new levels for Halloween.

Bad Piggies update (Free)

Bad PiggiesWhat’s it about? From the developer behind Angry Birds, Bad Piggies puts players in control of those evil green pigs, tasking them with building machines to get the pigs where they need to go.

What’s cool? Your mission in Bad Piggies is to build stuff. With a pile of items like wheels, axles, platforms and more, you need to build things like carts and cars to carry your pigs to the end of each level, without them crashing and smashing their rides. Each level provides a different challenge and different tools with which to build your vehicle, including things like soda-powered jets, engines, wings and more. Bad Piggies already packs more than 100 levels, and developer Rovio Mobile has just added 30 Halloween-themed challenges for players to work through as well.

Who’s it for? Fans who like physics-based games with a touch of engineering should check out what Bad Piggies has to offer.
