The app adds new image-straightening capabilities to its repertoire of photo filters and image-sharing features, making for even better photos. We’ve also got DejaOffice, an app that lets you sync your contacts and other programs and information with Outlook and other office programs and services. Finally, there’s TMNT Rooftop Run, a running title in which you control the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and fight their various enemies with ninja moves and weapons.

Instagram update (Free)

InstagramWhat’s it about? Take photos with your Android device, apply cool filters for a retro look and share them with other users with social photography app Instagram.

What’s cool? Instagram probably needs no introduction at this point, but in case you’re not aware of the uber-popular social networking app, it’s all about sharing photos. One side of the app deals with taking shots with your Android device and applying one of a number of filters to the image to make it look like a vintage film photograph. Once you’ve cropped, tilt-shifted and filtered the photo to your liking, you can share the image on Instagram’s social network or across networks such as Twitter and Facebook. You can also browse through friends’ images and leave comments, as well. Instagram’s newest update adds the ability to automatically straighten photos, and includes easier controls for shooting and sharing video and sound.

Who’s it for? If you like shooting photos with your mobile devices and sharing them with others, Instagram’s a great way to do it.

What’s it like? Try Facebook and its photo-sharing capabilities and Camera MX for more cool photo-shooting capabilities.
