Vintique (Free)

What’s it about? A gorgeous new photo editor for your mobile device with an emphasis on great, vintage looking filters.Vintique1

What’s cool? I know photo editing apps are a dime a dozen on any kind of smart phone, but this one is worth paying attention to. The sheer volume of options available to you is noteworthy alone, with over 50 filters (31 Vintage, and 23 Retro, whatever the difference is) alongside plenty of mainstay photo adjustors. Once you're done turning your mundane photos into beautiful pieces of art, you can easily share them to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or whatever. It's a little bit buggy on the functionality side at the moment, but it's still great.

Who’s it for? Smartphone photographers who can't get enough cool filters in their lives.

What’s it like? SuperPhoto - Effects + Filters is another great editor in the same vein.

JackThreads (Free)

What’s it about? The official app of the JackThreads online shopping site, bringing you the latest styles and deals in men's fashion.JackThreads1

What’s cool? JackThreads is a members only shopping club for dudes, so you'll need to visit the site and sign-up before you can use this app, but the app will give you access to daily sales of up to fifty percent off, which is always nice. The idea is to find clothes and shoes that look great and fashionable without totally breaking the bank. The app has essentially be rebuilt from the ground up and re-launched, with a new look and all new features, plus connectivity through Facebook, Email, and Google+. This app is definitely worth a look, especially if you don't know much about men's fashion.

Who’s it for? Men who want to be more stylish and fashionable in their day to day lives on the relatively cheap.

What’s it like? You can look to the Cool Guy -Style App or Fashion for Men for some more pointers.

Galaxy Defense (Free)

What’s it about? One of the slickest, most popular new tower defense games around, with excellent gameplay and graphics.

What’s cool? Like most of you, I'm pretty tired of tower defense games in general, but this one is so worth a look. Developed by War Games, it puts a unique spin on a lot of the tower defense tropes. You placeGalaxyDefense1 your towers in pre-set hexagonal tiles in defense of your base. The map and tower position layouts are very unlike any other standard tower defense game, and the huge number of really cool power-ups and tower types seal the deal. The production quality is top notch as well compared to many TD games. Definitely don't judge this one by its cover, which actually happens to be quite pretty.

Who’s it for? People who want something a bit different from their tower defense games.

What’s it like? Sentinel 3 - Homeworld is another sci-fi TD with unique mechanics. Kingdom Rush is just one of the best out there.
