by Phil Hornshaw

Maximize your email capabilities with the newly updated Yahoo! Mail. The Android version of the web-based email client comes with new features, including Dropbox support, so you have access to all your cloud-stored files for attaching to messages. On the gaming side, keep busy this weekend with Jawfish Words, a competitive word search game played against opponents online, and Crazy Taxi, an awesome re-release of the classic Sega driving title in which you drive a taxi cab – crazily.

Yahoo! Mail update (Free)

Yahoo! MailWhat’s it about? The web-based email client from Yahoo! gives users all the functionality they've come to expect from email, with the ability to organize messages into folders, search through your inbox, and more.

What’s cool? Yahoo! Mail users get the full web experience on their Android devices with the official Yahoo! Mail app. You can access all your messages, create new folders, organize messages, add labels and, of course, send emails from the app, and the app's Android optimization makes it a handy way to read emails when you're on the go. You can also create auto-complete messages to send emails faster and access multiple Yahoo! accounts at once. With its new update, Yahoo! Mail adds Dropbox support, so you can access all the files you have saved in your Dropbox cloud space to send as attachments.

Who’s it for? If you're already a Yahoo! Mail user, you'll want this app, and if you use Dropbox, Yahoo! Mail might be a solid new alternative to other email clients.

What’s it like? Grab the Dropbox app for full access to its free and paid cloud services.

Jawfish Words (Free)

Jawfish WordsWhat’s it about? Word-search game Jawfish Words has players creating words by drawing a line across tiles with letters on them, competing against players from all over the world in multiplayer games and tournaments.

What’s cool? The basic mechanics of Jawfish Words are pretty standard: you compete in the game by looking through a grid of letter tiles, forming words by linking adjacent tiles together. The game is meant to be played against opponents online, and you'll face off against players from around the world in matches in which your goal will change depending on the objectives of the match – you might be tasked with racking up the highest score in one game, and be looking to make the longest word you can in another. You can also use boosts to give yourself an advantage in matches and compete in tournaments with lots of other players.

Who’s it for? If you like competition and word search games, download Jawfish Words.

What’s it like? You might also enjoy more word-making competitive games, like Words with Friends and Boggle.

Crazy Taxi ($4.99)

Crazy TaxiWhat’s it about? Drive fast and crazy, and pick up as many passengers as you can in arcade driving title Crazy Taxi, where you're rewarded for being reckless and getting passengers to their destinations as quickly as possible.

What’s cool? Reviving one of the most beloved titles of the Sega Dreamcast, Sega's Crazy Taxi brings all the insane, fast-paced action of the original console title to Android devices. Your goal is pretty simple: you need to drive around town in your taxi, picking up fares and driving them to wherever they need to go. The trouble is, you need to get everywhere fast in order to maximize the amount of money you earn, and you'll increase for driving recklessly without crashing. Crazy Taxi packs three timed game modes, as well as challenges to complete, and the original licensed soundtrack from the game's original 2000 release.

Who’s it for? Anyone who likes crazy, fast driving games, and fun, easygoing arcade experiences needs to grab Crazy Taxi.

What’s it like? Don't forget Sega's other re-released classics, Sonic the Hedgehog and Jet Set Radio.
