MP3 InCall Recorder & Voice (Free)

What’s it about? As you might have guessed, InCall Recorder lets you record phone calls as MP3 files and listen to them later.

What’s cool? The ability to record and playback phone calls can be a handy one, and InCall takes all the trouble out of the idea by allowing you to do it automatically. It also helps deal with low audio quality by amplifying the voices as they come through your Android device, boosting recording quality and making it easier to listen back to your calls. When you're done, InCall lets you share your recordings across services such as DropBox or Google Drive, and includes a one-button feature to email files to yourself to get them on other devices. You can also add things like memos to recordings to help you remember important info about them.

Who’s it for? Anyone who could benefit from recording calls, such as journalists conducting interviews, will find InCall Recorder useful.

What’s it like? Try Automatic Call Recorder for another alternative, and Tap-a-Talk Voice Recorder for making voice memos and other recordings.

Twilight (Free)

What’s it about? Twilight helps make using your Android device at night a little more healthy by filtering out parts of the light spectrum, which have been shown to interfere with the ability to fall asleep.

What’s cool? Some studies have shown that the blue portion of the visible light spectrum can interfere with circadian rhythms – that is to say, seeing bright blue light when you're trying to fall asleep can make doing so difficult because of the way that light interacts with your eye and the effect it has on your brain. Twilight tries to help with that problem by filtering the light your Android device produces at night, dialing out the blue side of the spectrum. The result is a red-tinged screen when you use your device, but which can help you to sleep better if you need to use your electronics before (or even in) bed.

Who’s it for? If you're a compulsive email-checker, like to use your Android device to read before sleeping, or a fan of any number of other late-night mobile device uses, Twilight might be for you.

What’s it like? Try Sleep as Android for more Android functions that can help you sleep better.

Hills of Glory 3D (Free)
