Eufloria HD ($4.99)

What’s it about? Strategy title Eufloria has a unique look and feel, asking players to explore asteroids by seeding them with trees.

What’s cool? The goal of Eufloria is mostly to expand colonies through space by planting trees that kick off seedlings, and then sending those seedlings to other asteroids to plant other trees. It’s an easygoing strategy game, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t obstacles in your way – like other seedlings that attack and kill your trees. Each asteroid has different attributes that affect the planets you grow there, so you’ll need to find, colonize and utilize those asteroids in order to expand your colonies.

Who’s it for? Strategy gamers and anyone who likes titles that are more about form and music will find Eufloria a worthwhile investment.

What’s it like? Give Osmos a shot for a similar fluidity of design, graphics and music.

In this case, it’s a pyramid – you slowly construct the pyramid and fill its rooms with various specialized people and facilities, like shops and stone works. You also train staff, attract people to live in the pyramid, send out trade mission and even field tour groups to earn money for your pyramid.

Who’s it for? If you like some of the more involved and intricate management simulations, or you’ve played Kairosoft’s other games, you’ll likely have a blast with this one.
