Start off the new week with the musically-themed official app from Green Day. Alongside the usual stuff like news, tour dates and photos, there are some fun elements that set it apart which fans will enjoy. Next up is Agent Dash, a free endless runner with a cool spy theme and some sharp-looking graphics. Finally, we’ve got the lowdown on Kairobotica, yet another simulation title from the masters themselves, Kairosoft, which sees you heading out to space and building a colony.
Green Day’s Official App (Free)
One of the biggest U.S. rock bands around just launched an official app and it’s surprising more bands don’t make them like this. This official Green Day app is perfect for fans, of course, but also offers a few personalized touches to keep it ahead of the pack.
As well as all the usual news, photos, features and tour updates, Green Day’s app lets you add your face to each new album cover and share it with a friend in the Photocards section. You can also leave your own comments on the Fan Wall, and hear samples of the band’s entire catalog.
Agent Dash (Free)
Here’s a fun and free endless runner (in the vein of Temple Run) from Full Fat, the developers of games like Flick Golf! and Flick Soccer! You’ll run through a variety of environments, using secret agent skills to evade hazards like laser beams, falling trees, trucks and lava.
While it certainly borrows its gameplay from Temple Run, the game’s spy theme keeps things interesting as you’ll get to use gadgets like jetpacks, parachutes and even the ability to slow down time. With some great visuals and sharp controls (though tilt and swipe would be nice), Agent Dash is a fun time, especially for free.
As many of you know already, Kairosoft seem to release another new sim or time management game every week. Alongside popular favorites like Game Dev Story and Pocket Academy comes Kairobotica, and this time you’re building a space colony complete with robots.
In this space-based sim, you command the Kairobot Corps, a brigade of mass-produced guardians of galactic peace. You’ll need to patrol planets and destroy villains to build your reputation as the best interstellar security force. Between missions, you can upgrade your mobile colony to attract inquisitive space travelers from other planets.
