Fresh Android Apps for Apr. 12: Springpad update, TwitchTV, Bouncin Free

by Ian Black

It’s almost tax day. Keep better track of all your expenses and deductions for next year with the new Springpad update.

To get more out of gaming culture, watch a little TwitchTV or play Bouncin Free.

Springpad update (Free)

Some app updates are big and some are huge! Springpad delivers a load of new features including a completely new redesign of their “smart notebooks” through which you can collect and share lists, links, images, video, and more.

Now, you can classify notebooks as private or public and collaborate on their creation with friends. A new “smartbar” assists you in selecting and storing new content. You can assign themes to customize your notebook and mark them with tags and categories. Finally, the new update lets you “follow” the notebooks of others that interest you.

TwitchTV (Free)

When gamers aren’t playing they’re watching video about the games they love on TwitchTV.

View video game walkthroughs, glitches (cheats that let you score more), and people playing the games you want to buy. This provides background and information that can help with game purchases and let you reach maximum performance when you play.

Is the app’s audience large enough to deliver real value? Try 16 million people.

Bouncin Free (Free)

Combine Labyrinth with a brick-buster game and you get Bouncin Free. Guide the bouncing ball along a maze of tiles. With each bounce you remove the tile upon which the ball lands with a goal of removing all tiles to clear the board and earn a star bonus.

As always, it won’t be that easy. The tile maze has twist, turns, and dead ends that will hang you up and stop your progression to the next level. Also, some tiles deliver an extra springing bounce while others bounce the ball only in specific direction.

There are 60 levels to bounce through and two different beautiful backgrounds to play over.
