Fresh Android Apps for Mar. 15: Evite, Coral City, Dude Perfect

by Ian Black

For me, spring has already sprung. I’m going send out invites to a BBQ (Evite), go for a swim (Coral City), and shoot some outdoor hoops (Dude Perfect), all with my Android and some fresh apps.

Evite (Free)

Nothing’s harder than hosting a party. Take some stress out of your life with this new Android app that’s already a very popular party management web service. The service also works just to remind you of parties to which you RSVP’d.

To send an invite, enter the location, time and title, then pick an e-card from a set of templates, and choose the guests from your contacts (or enter new ones). The app will tell you who has RSVP’d. Need more? Post pictures from the party to share with the attendees.

Coral City (Free)

The you-build-it game phenomenon has conquered most everything on land, including cities, shops and parks. This game takes things below the waves so that do-it-yourselfers can conquer new territory.

Create your own fantasy city of coral with shops, homes, businesses, and beautiful marine decorations. Meet merry Merpeople who will send you on special missions that will earn you pearls to purchase more goods. Play offline if you want, or go online to visit the underwater cities of friends and strangers.

Dude Perfect ($0.99)

Make your own March Madness with this addictive basketball app. You’ve probably seen those nutty trick basketball shots on YouTube. Now, you can make some of your own.

You’ll find a wild variety of props from cranes and balloons, to towers and rocket ships. Use the multiplayer mode to battle friends online, or go crazy and try the custom level builder to create your shot from scratch by constructing an entire scene from elements using a massive prop library.
