This new year I resolve to capture more moments on film (Dotti Disposable Camera), break out of my daily routine whenever possbile (Crazy Bricks 3D Lite), and tell more stories (Cardboard Castle).
Dotti Disposable Camera (Free)
Turn your Android into a disposable camera using this fresh app from the makers of Postagram and Sincerely Ink. Here, you shoot 12 pictures like a roll of film, complete with the sights and sounds of the camera you used to buy at the drug store, and the app will “process” the pictures for you behind the scenes. You’ll receive the pix in the mail printed on 4x6-inch FujiFilm photo paper.
Listen for the retro sound effects like the charging of the flash or the winding of the film and press the “button” which lets you look inside the camera.
Crazy Bricks 3D Lite (Free)
For the beginning levels you’ll use the traditional paddle to knock the ball into the bricks. From there, you’ll bounce the ball upwards into a spinning 3-D object or use your ninjas to fire bullets and rockets to take out the brick structure overhead. Wacky fun!
Cardboard Castle ($1.99)
Remember the “doodle” mobile game craze? It’s evolved into cardboard. This picture book-style fairy tale involves the traditional knight in shining armor, castles, a princess in distress, a dragon and more – it’s just that everything and everyone is made of cardboard.
You must intervene to help the beleaguered knight save the day by using your finger to “cut” objects from the scene, light a fuse with a match, move objects, and so on. Take charge so that the knight and his maiden will live happily ever after.
