This app is a social networking app that allows you to check into movies, shows, music. It also gives you the option to see what friends like. This app is works just fine but I find that there are others out there that give you the same options but with more details.
At the theater for the opening weekend? At a concert? Thinking about a book you want to get from the bookstore? Don't wait until you get home to check-in (Let's face it, you'll forget). Check-in on the go & get your points!
I'm still trying to see the point of checking in to TV, Movies, Books, etc. GetGlue is not a bad idea, but as a Facebook and Twitter user, I don't think I have the desire to manage another social network app.
I understand the fact that you can link GetGlue to your other social network accounts. However, I don't see why I would use this app as my number one outlet for socializing online.
App to share about anything you are doing (even though it looks similar to what twitter does it is still different) and you can even earn badges with it.
The app itself doesn't feel good, is lagging and bugging. Seemed to me like a bad port for iOS.
I think this is a great app for checking into things like tv shows and movies, games, and other daily life tasks or activities. However I do not like very much the recommendation system, it needs an overhaul. Recommendations were ok but often very old or seemed out of context. Great service and you can comment on what you are doing which allows communication with others and makes it "social". Not bad.
