Must have for rooted devices!

Sometimes the best apps are apps that make “built in” functions more accessible to normal users. This app is just that, a great tool that uses features that are built in to the Android OS.

One of my favorite pieces of this app if that you can change the wifi sleep policy. So if you have a stock ROM or a modded ROM that doesn’t allow you to control these settings you can change them with this app.

You also get more comprehensive information about the battery usage and you can change some of the system animations.
Really helped speed up my HTC EVO.

Love it! But not for the standard user

As someone else said here it's a great app but you can mess up your phone with it.

Personally i don't think you can mess it up that bad so you can't get it back up and running but... let's not touch buttons that we don't know what they do hmm?

When you are fine with your phone as it is, don't even try to use this app. It gives you access to some settings that are normally well kept hidden. You can change some settings of where stuff needs to go, how screens should look like etc BUT you can seriously mess up your phone!

Add a backup/restore function and it is 5 bars!

Spare Parts is a pretty comprehensive app for power management, letting you know what's running on your system and how much memory those apps are using. You might be surprised at what's slurping away at your battery in the background!
