Stop polling old mail, please.

I like this app interface. I like how easy it is to set up an account. I like how it looks on-screen. I like the customization options. What I very much do NOT like is that it keeps pulling up old emails and marking them as unread after I delete something out of my inbox. I have the settings to not pull messages older than 3 weeks, so why am I getting DECEMBER mail right now? I tried everything. Uninstalled and went to MailDroid.
