Love the interface, the pull down to load more items is a ingenious use of intuitive gestures!
Twitter is one of the main social media hubs out there... and this apps interface is okay.
Over all I think that this app could use some work on the UI and how it handles (or doesn't handle) notifications.
Ultimately I uninstalled this app when I found out it was taking up 12MB of space. Way too much and no real explanation why.
Sometimes this is the easiest way to let people know where I am or what I am doing. Although, we'll see how it goes because now there is Google+!
I love being able to share my thoughts or some funny happening right there when it happens and with this app I'm able to so both that and check out my friends accounts to see what they're up to anywhere anytime
I had to be dragged kicking and screaming to twitter, but now that I use it on a regular basis, I can't imagine not using it. I really like the twitter app for droid because I feel like it's very easy to navigate, and user friendly. Also, I admit sometimes I refresh my feed just so my phone will make the "bubble popping" noise.
Don't get me wrong, the app is great for what it needs to do. It just has some nasty interface decisions i can't get over. For example the buttons are all hidden behind slide-out menus and so on it's hard to know they are there, not too intuitive...
Furthermore the alerts are a bit... well let's say that if i get a private message i want my phone to go off the hook and start yelling by default, like it dose with email... I don't know maybe that's just me.
This app pretty much just gives you the option of checking Twitter on your phone rather than on your computer. It gives you the options to view your interests, find and follow your friends, tweet and retweet, direct message privately , share photos, videos and web pages and much much more.
Don't use this often as I have TweetDeck. But because it came as a default, checked it out and like the interface. But as with the desktop application, most of us prefer columns to track multiple conversations.
SMOOOV AS SILK!!
This is a good twitter app and it has a good amount of features. However it's still lacking and not up to par with the rest that's available on the market. The recent upgrade did get it up to par with iphone. I still think it could be a bit better in the looks department and usability. However if you just want the simple basics give it a try.
The official twitter applications. Provides you the basic functionalities but is many killer features that other apps do have. Nice to give it a try but not worth using it all the time. The only reason why I still have it is that it syncs the contact details and with that provides you a status update in the address book of the contacts using twitter.
I've just begun to use this app and, so far, it works very well. I logged into my account, read tweets, posted and everything worked. I'll use some more and update my comments. Motorola Droid
The official Android app for Twitter is cute and it gets the job done. However, there's really nothing special about it that sets it apart from the million other Twitter apps I've tried. The notifications are kind of laggy, though.
