Great app that helped me already a few times. In a foreign city and you don't know where to go? Use Places to get more information on your whereabouts and get some great recommendations. The link with everything that is on Google is seamlessly and you can get great reviews on for instance the restaurants you want to go to.

i cant get it. i scan barcode from cpu, and it says "the app is not available."
Places Directory is what i wanted. Shop savvy what i used to scan.

What I did was scan the barcode using google goggles and clicked the link next to it. It automatically downloaded the apk instead of searching for it on the market. Try this QR code instead http://sites.google.com/site/placesdirectory/

I used Barcode Scanner on my Droid to download and it said that it was downloading but it isn't there. Any ideas.

A very comprehensive directory that lists many categories, create your own categories and get to where you want to go. It is like a GPS without paying for a GPS. Very recommended.
