Review of PicMe (Screen Gra... by arvid
One of the main features that Android is lacking the ability to take screenshots. With an iPhone this is as easy as just clicking the home-button and the power-button, for Android, there is no native solution. NOTE: PicMe does require your device to be rooted When you run PicMe, a small webserver is running in the background which will allow you to connect to your phone using its IP-address. It is as easy as opening your browser and punching in the IP-address. The screen of your phone appears in your browser and you can save the image. You can also enable live-view and see what is happening in real-time. Each time when you refresh the page in your browser or you save an image, you will hear a shutter sound on your phone. This is for privacy reasons that nobody else can just captures screens of your phone without you knowing it. For me as a real tech-geek, this application is a must-have until Android will have its own native screen grabber, until then, PicMe is the best choice!
