Price: Free
Pros: Just another app to recommend other Apps. I am always on the lookout for new and better apps myself. I use a lot of resources to do this and this is one of them. Competition is always good.
Cons: Competitor of this site
Appbrain oh my. I use this app everyday to look up apps and help me install them. It keeps a list on their website of apps I have on my phone and when i reset my phone I can reinstall the apps I had before.
While it offers reviews and recommendations, I mostly use appolicious for that. I like appolicious's recommendation system more and its social aspects a lot more than appbrain.
appolicious doesn't install apps but appbrain tries to upgrade everything on the phone and if a few apps weren't meant to be upgraded you likely will end up with a broken app. So be careful.
This app connects you with another mobile enthusiast site called AppBrain much like the Appolicious app and site. I initially thought I'd like AppBrain (the app and the site) better, but after using both for a few days, I still favor Appolicious. Like the Appolicious app, AppBrain uploads your apps for catagloging and review on the AppBrain site. It even provides recommendations (like Appolicious) and makes uninstallation easier (unlike Appolicious). But there's a feature in AppBrain that's caused me trouble, so be cautious. It not only checks which installed apps have updates (not unlike the Droid Market does already), but it checks for updates to built-in apps too. This sounded good until I actually updated my on-board apps and found the upgraded Google Maps and Google Goggles on my Droid Incredible didn't work as well as the original, non-updated ones. Your Mileage May Vary, but be cautious about letting AppBrain update on-board apps in a way Appolicious doesn't try to. Although I'll probably use both sites (AppBrain and Appolicious) to find good apps, I'll probably stick with just one cataloging and uploading app (Appolicious).
Would be nice is application notified me of updates automatically...love the suggestions apps.
Install or remove apps on your phone from the web. It really just queue's them up for you to install them for you but it does come in handy. If it auto installed I would give it a 5
At last an app which helps you manage your apps on your computer. Install the main app and sync with Appbrain.com and you are all set to manage the applications (install, delete, update etc.) from the computer. "Fast Web Installer" needed to install apps from the web.
