Rings Extended is an app for the Android platform that expands on the basic ringtone and sound selection system that comes standard with your phone. Unlike the other apps we've reviewed so far, Rings Extended isn't something you launch on it's own. What you need to do to load up this app is select Rings Extended over Android System when you change your ringtones or sounds in the settings area.

Rings Extended offers you everything that the Android System normally does and more. You can select from any of the sounds that come standard with your phone, choose from music currently stored on your phone, and even directly record a sound that you can use for a ringtone instantly. This makes the app pretty handy over all.

You can use Rings Extended in any menu that allows you to change a system sound. Considering it includes the Android System sounds, you can set this to your default app for this process and never have to manually select it again.

Rings Extended allows you to customize your phone in a much easier fashion, so it's definitely worth downloading, especially if you're not planning on keeping the default ringtones and message alerts that your phone comes with.
