If you’re looking for a simple RSS reader for your Android phone, look no further. PureRSS is a simple and easy to use app that helps you get all your RSS feeds in one easy to access place.
This app is completely no frills. You’ll be presented with a black screen when you first load it up. Press the menu button and select Add Feed to enter in a new RSS feed for you to follow. PureRSS allows you to enter in the URL and a username and password if it’s required for that specific feed. After you enter in that information, press the Add Feed button.
For few minutes the feed may read zero. If you leave the app open, eventually that number will change showing you all the recent unread posts that you haven’t looked at through this app. When you select a specific feed, it will pull up all the posts you’ve yet to see. Tapping on any of the posts will pull up as much info as the RSS feed offers. From here you can also exit the app and view the full post in the browser.
This app is definitely handy if you follow a lot of RSS feeds. It does exactly what it needs to do without cluttering it with useless extras and filler. If you have need for an RSS reader, check out PureRSS.
