The Opera Mobile Browser has made its way over to the Android platform. This app brings most of the standard Opera Mobile functionality over in an easy to use and easier to customize package.
Fans of the Opera Mobile Browser will be immediately familiar with the interface. The standard start page will offer you a series of bookmarks that you can easily customize to your liking. There’s also the settings menu that allows you to turn of some functionality of the browser if you want to surf the web faster. You can even customize the skin of your Opera browser from this tab.

Once you start surfing the web, you’ll notice that everything is pretty zoomed out unless you’re in Mobile view. This is one of the biggest benefits of Opera as it allows you to see everything without being hindered by the fact that you’re on a mobile device. If you scroll around on the screen you’ll notice that there’s a box around the mouse you’re using. That box allows you to zoom in to see that specific area of the page.
It’s a hard transition into using Opera over the main browser. In fact, it might be something not worth doing at this time anyway. You can’t set it as the default and you’ll have to watch out with the back button as some pages will require you to go back by using the menu button and accepting or cancelling what’s on the screen. It’s a solid app, it’s just not for everyone.
