Google has brought a number of very interesting products to Android phones. Probably one of their more interesting products offered is Google Shopper, an application that tries to make your shopping experience easier.
The app is essentially a combination of two different Google products. It takes the photo recognition of Google Goggles and the amazing price library of Google Product search and puts them into an app that takes a photo and does an immediate search for prices. The app is actually quite limited at the moment due to the difficulties that come with photo recognition. It can only recognize barcodes, books, DVDs, CDs, and video games currently and struggles with anything else. But the objects that it does scan offer immediate results without any work from the user. Just point the device at the object and it will immediately pull pricing results onto the screen.
The app takes voice recognition as well but it is definitely the goal of the developers to integrate visual search as much as possible. The app is available for free in the Android Marketplace and was actually pretty fun to use. Without some more advanced features it's hard to find times when you will actually need it but in the future, this app may be a necessity. Check it out.
