SUMMARY: An addition to the Facebook mobile site for the Android platform

Check out appoLearning.com, because your kids deserve the very best educational apps!

fBook is an app for the Android platform that allows you to easily navigate and set updates for the Facebook mobile site. This isn't really an app as much as it is a few additional features slapped over the basic mobile web interface that Facebook natively offers.

The app operates in nearly every capacity like the mobile version of the website. The reason for that is because that it is the mobile website except for two extra buttons you can utilize. The first is upload a photo. This button makes it very easy for you to upload a photo directly to your Facebook account.

The second button is the settings app. You can toggle status bar notifications to pop up and even vibrate your Android phone based on Facebook notifications. To keep things from getting obnoxious, there's the ability to set how often Facebook will notify you from a five minute to a one hour interval.

Considering Facebook has no intention of making an app for the Android platform, this is a great first step for an Android Facebook app. It may not be the prettiest thing and may not be standalone at all, but it definitely offers a hand up on what the mobile web version has to offer.
