SUMMARY: A popular app for viewing great stories

Check out appoLearning.com, because your kids deserve the very best educational apps!

Digg has finally decided to release an Android app and after looking into it, it is definitely sure to please. The site is still on the rise in popularity and has brought interesting articles, pictures, and videos to many users of the web. Now, it is easier than ever to keep up with the latest and greatest by downloading the Digg Android app.

This app is pretty straight forward in terms of design and navigation. The app presents the all of the Top stories, Recent stories, and Upcoming stories on Digg. Tapping on a story will immediately link to the original site where the content was found and the bottom bar will update to allow users to Digg or bury the story. Comments are viewed by tapping the upper right corner of the screen which will bring up the section. A couple complaints I had right away was the inability to log into my Digg account or comment.

This completely destroyed the social nature of the app which is the foundation of Digg. Users also can't choose a category to filter, they can only view the top stories. Overall, the app was designed for Digg users but seems to be missing the very features that make Digg unique. It still is a great app to view the top stories and the best part it is free. Check it out.
