CitySearch is yet another app for Android mobile phones that puts your entire city in your hands and lets you discover new possibilities within it. After selecting a city or letting the app establish your location for you via gps, you can browse through the many different offerings available. The app makes it easy to find a new restaurant that you haven't tried before or just read reviews on a specific car shop.

The company that created this app has quite a history of successful apps and services dealing with locations and reviews. CitySearch is no different offering the chance to find new places, tag photos, tweet the location, or write a review accompanied by a star rating. The app has a useful scrolling section at the bottom of the screen that will filter your results by topic whether it be by salon, bank, or theater.

Although this app does offer quite a bit, I still personally prefer the standard maps app for finding what I need. Still, this format my come in handy for someone who wants to read a little bit more about a place and hear other's opinions. The app is free in the Android market, so check it out and learn something new about your city.
