A lot of people are running nowadays. With the nation's inevitable health kick on the rise, more and more people are setting down the cheeseburger and running a few miles every morning. Leave it to technology to immediately begin catering to that new hobby by offering apps to help you.
Buddy Runner for Android phones is one of those apps looking to make your run easier and provide some useful data after the fact. The app is actually pretty simple, the user presses "Start" and begins jogging. At every half mile the app will notify the user of their distance, time, and average mile time. This is a great motivator for those who might feel like slowing down as it keeps reminding you that you can get a better time.
At the end of the run, the app will display the same statistics (distance, time, and average mile time) but it will also provide you with how many calories you theoretically burnt. I didn't burn very many because I drove my route (I'm not much of a runner). There is a map tab in the app which shows the route you ran which could come in handy for someone as they plan their next run. Overall this app was good and I definitely recommend it for any runners out there.
