SUMMARY: A basic Twitter client for the Android platform

Check out appoLearning.com, because your kids deserve the very best educational apps!

aTweeter is another Twitter app for the Android platform. This app is the simplest and lightest featured Twitter app we’ve seen so far on this device.

If you’re looking for a Twitter client that allows you to do more than read tweets, post and respond to tweets, and direct message, you’re in the wrong place. This app does pretty much just that and nothing more. It does save your information to either your SD card or your phone directly to allow you to see quite a few tweets.

The settings for this offer next to nothing useful. All you do is enter in your username and password, choose where the app caches data to, and set the number of items to keep. Here’s the kicker though, the number of items you can keep is capped at 100, but the app leaves it as an open field and starts it off at 20. Once you configure the app, you’re pretty much ready to start tweeting or reading tweets.

Without the ability to click on links, follow people, or see their profile, this Twitter app is probably the worst one we’ve had a chance to review. It loads up very fast even when it’s pulling in 100 results, but the fact is it doesn’t offer enough features to make you even want to load it up more than once. Avoid this app and try another Twitter client if you’re interested in using Twitter on your Android phone.
