Android App Tablet Review: Sports Illustrated - Tablet

by Marty Gabel

Whether you’re already a subscriber to the print version of the popular sports magazine, or just want to view a digital version on your Android tablet instead, the Sports Illustrated Tablet app is for you.

This app comes with a big caveat, though: you won’t see anything unless you’re a subscriber. SI Tablet will work happily on your device, but there’s not even a free preview. You pretty much have to sign-up for a new digital subscription, or sign-in if you already have one.

But once you do, you’ll discover a lot more content than its magazine counterpart. There are more galleries to view, more feature stories, live scores and feeds, original video, and you can pretty much store as many digital issues as you like, old and new.

While the app is a little limited in its reach, and it’d be nice to at least preview an issue before subscribing, there’s no getting away from the quality of the journalism and great content available here for Android tablet-owning sports fans.
